Frankenmuth Community Foundation Welcomes Nicole Curtis for April 14 Fundraising Gala

February 9, 2018 -- Nicole Curtis, the star of HGTV/DIY's popular "Rehab Addict," will be the keynote speaker at our 8th Annual Frankenmuth Community Foundation Legacy Ball.

The fundraising gala is Saturday, April 14, at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth, 730 S. Main St.

"The Legacy Ball is the highlight of the year and our only fundraising event. We are very excited to welcome Nicole to Frankenmuth as our guest of honor," said Executive Director Jonathan T. Webb.

Curtis has become a go-to expert in the do-it-yourself world restoring vintage homes to their past glory. No stranger to Michigan, the Lake Orion native spends considerable time in Detroit filming her hit show "Rehab Addict," now in its 8th season on the HGTV and DIY networks.

A self-taught home rehabber and designer, Curtis is also a mother, a master of salvage picking, and a spirited advocate for saving old houses and rebuilding communities.

Entering the Legacy Ball's eighth year, some of our past speakers have included; American hero and Vassar native Staff Sergeant Travis Mills; Michigan State University football coach Mark Dantonio; MSU basketball coach Tom Izzo, and several others. Over the past seven years, this event has generated more than $300,000 to support the Frankenmuth Community Foundation.

Legacy Ball Committee Chair Kristi Krafft-Bellsky said the evening will include dinner, entertainment, and both live and silent auctions.

Legacy Ball tickets are $100 per person and will go on sale March 1 at the Frankenmuth offices of the Frankenmuth Credit Union and TriStar Trust Bank. Tickets will also be available online at Seating is limited.

Since the Frankenmuth Community Foundation's inception in 1976, more than $5 million has been distributed to groups and programs working to enhance the quality of life in Frankenmuth. These good works are made possible thanks to the generous donations, gifts and bequests from individuals and businesses across Frankenmuth.
