March 28, 2018 -- If you’ve always wanted to meet TV star Nicole Curtis, you better hurry.

That’s because tickets are nearly sold out for the Frankenmuth Community Foundation Legacy Ball on Saturday, April 14, featuring the HGTV/DIY Network’s “Rehab Addict” as the keynote speaker.

“We are thrilled at the outpouring of support from individuals and businesses who are excited to welcome Nicole to Frankenmuth as our guest of honor,” said Legacy Ball Committee Chair Kristi Krafft-Bellsky.

The 8th annual fundraising gala begins at 5:30 p.m. at Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth, 730 S. Main St. Tickets are $100 per person and available at the Frankenmuth offices of the Frankenmuth Credit Union and Tri-Star Trust Bank. Seating is limited.

The evening includes dinner, entertainment, and both live and silent auctions.

Curtis is famous in the do-it-yourself world for restoring vintage homes to their past glory. The Michigan native often visits Detroit to film her hit show “Rehab Addict,” now in its 8th season on the HGTV and DIY networks.

Her appearance has piqued the curiosity of businesses from Frankenmuth and across the Great Lakes Bay Region, which have been extremely generous in their financial support, said Krafft-Bellsky.

“We are so thankful that My Member Insurance Agency stepped in as a $10,000 Legacy Champion sponsor, as well as the incredible support once again from Frankenmuth Insurance and Tri-Star Trust Bank as $5,000 Legacy Leader sponsors,” she said.

Other major sponsors include Legacy Pillars ($2,500): Covenant HealthCare, Rummel Insurance Agency, TSSF Architects, Spence Brothers and Zehnder’s, as well as many other companies who have also contributed to the nonprofit’s only fundraiser of the year.

The Legacy Ball is still accepting donations for its live and silent auctions through April 2.

Since its inception, the gala has generated more than $300,000 to support the Frankenmuth Community Foundation.

Over the last 40 years, the Frankenmuth Community Foundation has distributed more than $5 million to groups and programs working to enhance the quality of life in Frankenmuth. These good works are made possible thanks to the generous donations, gifts and bequests from individuals and businesses across Frankenmuth.
