Greg Rummel Risk Management Scholarship

The Rummel Family seeks to empower local students to excel in careers in risk management.

We are pleased to invite graduating high school seniors and students currently enrolled in college who are seeking living-wage opportunities in the field of risk management (e.g., insurance underwriting, sales agents, claims, risk managers and safety engineers, etc.) to apply for a Greg Rummel Risk Management (GRRM) Scholarship.  A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded annually.  Previous winners of the GRRM scholarship are eligible to reapply in following years but must meet/complete all requirements listed below each year to qualify for consideration. 


To be considered for a scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria: 

1. Must be a high school senior residing in Saginaw County and currently enrolled in a public or private high school physically located within Saginaw County OR a graduate from a Saginaw County high school who is currently enrolled in college and still has a primary home address located within Saginaw County. 

2. Must have intent to pursue a career in risk management as demonstrated by course of study (general college prep for HS seniors or appropriate business classes for college students)

3. Must fully complete the personal information section below.

4. Must compile and submit, in one PDF document, the required scholarship packet as described on the following page.

5. Must mail or e-mail fully completed scholarship packet to the address on the following page by April 30th.  


Scholarship(s) will be awarded on the/ basis of the applicant letter, overall application quality, scholastic performance, community service activities, and letters of recommendation.
